Last week the ULI Madrid Young Leaders hosted its first on-site event. Being aware of the difficult situation our city is currently experiencing, we knew the safety of the members had to be the main priority.
Throughout September we received many requests for a closer way to reconnect with our initiatives. We listened to the feedback and given the unusual circumstances, we adapted our events plan to make this possible – we were even pleased to see our number of members continue to grow!
By carefully adhering to the local safety regulations, and restrictions of no more than six people, we decided to set an objective of having five separate groups of five people per group: “The executive breakfasts – 5 Breakfast, 5 locations, 5 Speakers, 5 topics¨.
The positive feedback we received has been overwhelming and we have been asked several times to repeat this type of initiative. The speakers have been very pleased with the experience and found it valuable being able to connect with the younger generations.
What we didn’t expect was the level of personal involvement. Each participant shared their experience along with pictures of their meeting in the group whatsapp. We are happy that this event has been a tremendous success and we look forward to hosting more in the near future.
